Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. fusciumeraris Terada, 2013 externally and internally, but it can be distinguished by the forewing having a broad brown streak along costal 3/4 bifurcate from its distal 3/10, the valva almost uniformly wide to rounded apex and the aedeagus lacking a cornutus; the antrum with an inverted conical plate posteriorly and the appendix bursae with 50 denticles. In S. fusciumeraris , the forewing has a brown streak along costal margin not bifurcate distally, the valva is narrowed to the apex and the aedeagus has a cornutus; the antrum lacks an inverted conical plate posteriorly and the appendix bursae has 9‒14 denticles basally. Stathmopoda aprica is also similar to S. sufusciumeraris sp. nov. externally and internally, and the differences between them are stated in the diagnosis of the new species.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 3‒12 ). Wingspan 12.0‒ 14.5 mm. Head with frons shining yellowish white; vertex and occiput ochreous yellow, with metallic luster. Labial palpus yellowish white on inner surface, second segment pale ochreous yellow on outer surface, third segment ochreous yellow on outer surface. Antenna with scape ochreous brown, greyish white on anterior margin; flagellum ochreous yellow. Collar, thorax and tegula ochreous yellow; thorax with a dark brown spot posteriorly. Forewing yellow; costal margin with a broad brown streak along basal 3/4, its distal 3/10 bifurcate; with three blackish brown spots: basal spot narrowed from fold to dorsal margin, connected with costal streak anteriorly; second spot between basal 1/3 and 2/5 of dorsal margin, anteriorly reaching above fold and fused with costal streak; third spot between basal 3/5 and 4/5 of dorsal margin, reaching beyond outer margin of cell and connected with posterior arm of costal streak, then weakening toward apex; fringe brown, mixed with ochreous brown, ochreous brown around apex. Hindwing grey; fringe pale ochreous brown. Legs ochreous yellow on dorsal surface, cream white on ventral surface; foreleg with tibia and tarsus brown on outer surface; midleg blackish brown at base and middle on dorsal surface, tibia with cream white bristles at middle and apex; hindleg with tibia with long ochreous yellow bristles at apex dorsally, tarsus with long ochreous yellow bristles at apices of basal tarsomere on dorsal surface, blackish brown at apex. Abdomen greyish brown on dorsal surface, white on ventral surface.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 27‒32 ). Coremata developed, located at intersegmental membrane between seventh segment and eighth segment. Uncus bullet-like, wide at base, slightly narrowed at apex, with long setae laterally. Gnathos elongate triangular, gradually narrowed from base to apex, apex downcurved in lateral view. Tegumen with height approximately twice length of uncus, with a triangular peniculi at anterior 1/3 laterally. Valva almost uniformly wide to obtusely rounded apex; costa produced rectangularly, humped; inner process hooked; cucullus short, subtriangular, straight on dorsal margin, slightly produced dorsoapically, rounded at apex; sacculus approximately 3/4 length of valva, narrowly banded, rounded at apex, ventral margin slightly concave at basal 2/5, with long setae. Vinculum narrowly banded. Juxta inverted sub-triangular, broadly obtuse on posterior margin, pointed anteriorly; anellar lobes clubbed, with long setae. Aedeagus approximately 1.5 times length of valva, broad at base, slightly tapered to apex, with a widely banded sclerite at base; distal process clubbed, rounded at apex, 1/4 length of aedeagus; cornutus absent.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 55 View FIGURES 52‒56 ). Papillae anales longer than wide, with short setae. Intersegmental membrane between papillae anales and eighth abdominal segment approximately three times length of papillae anales. Apophyses posteriores approximately 1.5 times length of apophyses anteriores. Eighth segment straight on posterior margin, with long setae; eighth tergite rectangular; eighth sternite concave in broad V-shape anteromedially. Antrum cupshaped, with dense microspines on inner surface, posteriorly with an inverted conical plate 3/5 length of antrum, concave anteriorly. Ductus bursae almost uniformly wide, approximately 7/10 length of corpus bursae. Corpus bursae sub-oval; two signa located at middle of corpus bursae, edged with microspines, larger one furcate on one end, approximately twice length of smaller one. Appendix bursae posterior to corpus bursae, elongate tubular, longer than corpus bursae, with dense 50 large denticles; bulla rounded, located at middle; ductus seminalis slender, with numerous granules.

Distribution. China (Hainan, Yunnan); Japan ( Terada 2016: 70), Sri Lanka.
