Eilithyia Distant, 1912: 184 View in CoL . Type species: E. insularis Distant View in CoL , by monotypy.
Diagnosis: head relatively short, broadly produced in front of eyes; frons longer than broad, with median carina bifurcate anteriorly; pronotum tricarinate, with anterior margin arched anteriorly and posterior margin obtuse-angled excavated; mesonotum tricarinate; fore wings relatively narrow and slender, corium without granulation, costal cell without cross veins; Cu1 forking well before or about level of junction of claval veins, which extending to about middle of clavus; nodal line forming a zigzag transverse line; with 5–7 subapical and 16–21 apical cells, subapical cells as long as apical; hind tibiae with 3 spines laterally and 6 apically, basal metatarsal segment with 6 spines apically, second metatarsal segment with 2 spines apically. Male genitalia with gonostylus relatively long and narrow, tapering to apex in distal half, dorsal edge with a stubby, dorsoposteriorly directed prominence near middle and a hook-like tooth beyond this prominence.
