Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) dilatipes Obenberger, 1928 View in CoL
Anthaxia dilatipes Obenberger, 1928: 214 View in CoL ; Obenberger 1931: 90; Théry 1938: 27 –28. Anthaxia pilosa Théry, 1928a: 186 View in CoL –187, syn. n.
Anthaxia pilosa Théry, 1928 View in CoL a was described from one male and 2 females labeled: ”Mosambique”. I have compared the male syntype (MNHN) with the male syntype of A. dilatipes View in CoL labeled: ”Transvaal” (NMPC) and found no differences. Both Obenberger (1931) and Théry (1938) indicated possible conspecifity of the two species but did not resolve the question. Both descriptions were published in the same year, but Vol. 92 (Abt. A) of the Archiv für Naturgeschichte with Obenberger´s description is dated ” Sept. 28 ” while Vol. 8 of the Bulletin de la Société Scientifique du Maroc with Théry´s paper is dated ” 31 December 1928 ”. In this case I consider A. pilosa View in CoL to be conspecific with A. dilatipes View in CoL and a new junior subjective synonym.
