Cephalispa okinawaensis sp. nov.

Description. Very similar to C. xanthogaster comb. nov. in general appearance, but differing from it as follows: Male 5th abdominal sternite ( Figs 7‒8 ) curved dorsally at posterior part in lateral view.

Male terminalia ( Figs 9‒12 ). Surstylus broad on basal 1/3 and apical 1/ 2 in lateral view, curved outwardly at middle in dorsal view; postgonite with ventral part notched at middle, dorsal part nearly straight and curved ventrally at apex; phallus long, broad at middle, slightly curved ventrally at apical 1/3 with large membranous areas on lateral and apical parts in lateral view, slightly notched apically in dorsal view.

Female terminalia ( Fig. 26 ). Sixth tergite broad at middle.

Body length. 4.5‒5.5 mm (n = 9).

Type material examined. Holotype: Male, Sedake, Nago city, Okinawa Is., Okinawa pref., Japan [N 26°33’26” / E 128°3’83”], 24. VI. 2013, S. Yoshizawa ( BLKU). Paratypes: JAPAN: Two males and 6 females, same locality and same collector as holotype, 24‒27. VI. 2013 ( BLKU).

Distribution. Japan (Okinawa Is.).

Bionomics. This species is collected from forest environment.

Etymology. The species epithet is taken from the type locality.

Remarks. This species is very similar to C. triquetra sp. nov. and C. xanthogaster (Shinonaga) comb. nov., but it is distinguishable from them by the male 5th abdominal sternite curved dorsally at posterior apex in lateral view, broad surstylus and phallus expanded at middle in lateral view ( Figs 8‒9, 11 ).
