Description. Very similar to C. xanthogaster comb. nov. in general appearance, but differing from it as follows: Male 5th abdominal sternite ( Figs 13‒14 View FIGURES 13 – 18 ) nearly straight apically in lateral view.

Male terminalia ( Figs 15‒18 View FIGURES 13 – 18 ). Surstylus broad and nearly triangular on apical 3/ 5 in lateral view, nearly straight and curved inward at apex in dorsal view; postgonite with middle part curved ventrally, dorsal part hooklike and curved dorsally at apex; phallus long, strongly curved ventrally at apical 1/4, hook in shape apically with membranous areas laterally and apically in lateral view, bifurcated apically in dorsal view.

Female. Unknown.

Body length. 5.5‒6.2 mm (n = 2).

Type material examined. Holotype: Male, Nishimata-dani valley, Kashimo, Nakatsugawa city, Gifu pref., Japan [Alt. 800m], 7. VIII. 2015, D. Katō ( BLKU). Paratypes: JAPAN: One male, Mt. Sefuri, Fukuoka city, Fukuoka pref., 4. VII. 1976, K. Ohara ( BLKU); 1 male, Ogawachi, Higashi-sefuri Vil., Kanzaki-gun, Saga pref., 30. VI. 2000, T. Tachi ( BLKU).

Distribution. Japan (Honshu, Kyushu).

Bionomics. Unknown.

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the shape of male surstylus.

Remarks. This species resembles C. fani Cui & Xue, 1995 from China, C. okinawaensis sp. nov. and C. xanthogaster (Shinonaga) comb. nov. It is distinguishable from them by the strongly curved postgonite and phallus ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 13 – 18 ).
