Material examined. None.

Distribution. Western Atlantic—Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina) ( Coelho & Ramos 1972; Melo 1996, 1998; Dall’Occo et al. 2004).

Remarks. Previous records in São Paulo do not include the specific locality or analyzed material, this occurrence is based on a bibliographic survey ( Dall’Occo et al. 2004). According to the catalogue of MZUSP collection, holotype and paratypes came from the state of São Paulo (23°58’40”S 46°80’30”W) ( Melo et al. 2003), probably localized close to Santos city.
