Lithophyte and terrestrial fern. Elev. in Uíge: 955 m. In rocky areas and near roads. Distribution in Angola: Bengo, Cuanza Norte, Huíla, Malanje, Namibe, Uíge. Global distribution: Widespread in Africa, also Spain, Yemen, Comoro and Mascarene islands, Madagascar, tropical Asia, China, Japan, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Australia and Polynesia.

Lithophyte, epiphyte or terrestrial fern. Elev. in Uíge: 800 m. In shaded habitats. Distribution in Angola: Bié, Cuando Cubango , Cuanza Sul, Huambo, Huíla, Lunda Sul, Malanje, Moxico, Uíge. Global distribution: Widespread in tropical Africa , reaching it southern limit in southern Zimbabwe and central Mozambique ; also in Yemen, Réunion, Madagascar and Mauritius.
