Dilophotes particularis Pic, 1928
Dilophotes particularis Pic, 1928: 32 .
Type material. Syntypes, male, female, "Indochina" ( MHNP).
Diagnosis. Dilophotes particularis belongs to the D. atricollis group on the basis of the shape of male genitalia. It differs externally by the red margins and infuscated middle part of pronotum.
Description of the male syntype. Body medium sized, slender, black. Pronotum light reddish brown, with dense light brown pubescence, elytra red, covered with red pubescence. Head with short rostrum. Eyes small, interocular distance 1.39 times maximum eye diameter. Maxillary palpi slender. Antennae serrate, moderately robust. Pronotum 1.4 times wider than long. Frontal margin widely rounded, frontal angles inconspicuous, lateral margins slightly concave, posterior angles slightly projected. Posterior margin weakly convex in middle. Pronotal disc with sharp longitudinal costa attached to frontal margin reaching beyond middle, inconspicuous at posterior margin. Disc surface densely pubescent, shiny. Scutellum with slightly emarginate posterior margin. Elytra slender, flat, each elytron with three longitudinal costae, costa 1 very weak in apical half. Male genitalia with long slender phallus and complex, sclerotized internal sac, very similar to that of D. berezowskii .
Measurements. BL 7.0 mm, WH 1.65 mm, PL 0.99 mm, PW 1.43 mm, Ediam 0.36 mm, Edist 0.51 mm.
Other material examined. 1 male, " Nepal, Kathmandu, Godavari, 21.27. 6. 1989, C.
Holzschuh lgt."; 1 female, "N Vietnam, Tam Dao, 900 – 1400 m, 3.11. 6. 1988, J. Jelinek leg."; 1 female, "N Vietnam ( Tonkin), pr. Vinh Phu, Tam Dao, 6.9. 5. 1990, Vit Kubáò leg."; 1 specimen "N Vietnam ( Tonkin), pr. Vinh Phu, Tam Dao, 6.9. 5. 1990, L. Dembický leg." ( LMBC).
Distribution. Dilophotes particularis is known from several specimens collected in northern Vietnam and one specimen found in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. The exact collection locality of the type series is unknown, but I have studied specimens collected recently in Tonkin (Tam Dao), Vietnam and these specimens are very similar to syntypes.
Dilophotes qinlinganus Kasantsev, 2000
Dilophotes qinlinganus Kasantsev, 2000: 330 .
Remark. D. qinlinganus was thoroughly described by Kasantsev (2000). It differs from close D. holzschuhi sp. n. in the shape of upper plate of internal sac ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 3 13 ).
