Urostylis striicornis Scott, 1874: 360 .
DIAGNOSIS: Pronotum and scutellum with dark punctures; membrane transparent with V-shaped dark marking ( Figure 1D View FIGURE 1 ); lateral margin of genital capsule straight, apex relatively thick with setae in dorsal view ( Figure 2D View FIGURE 2 ); process of genital capsule long, exceeding dorsal wall of capsule and bifurcated in lateral view ( Figure 2J View FIGURE 2 ), process broadly developed, heart-shaped ( Figure 3D View FIGURE 3 ); paramere straight, curved subapically ( Figure 4D View FIGURE 4 ).
DESCRIPTION: Male: Body oval and elongated, length 12.02–13.16. COLOR. mostly greenish. Head: generally greenish, sometimes reddish; antennae almost brown, apex of third, fourth and fifth segment dark brown; rostrum green, apex of fourth rostral segment dark brown. Thorax: Pronotum and scutellum with dark punctures; hemelytra mostly greenish with entirely dark punctures; membrane transparent with V-shaped dark marking; legs almost green, base of tibia with dark band, apical part brown; third tarsal segment brown. Abdomen: entirely green. SURFACE AND VESTITURE: Body slightly glossy, covered with silvery short pubescences; antenna with densely short pubescences; legs with setae. STRUCTURE. Head: width of head longer than length of mandibular plate, projected as long as clypeus dorsally; length of antennae longer than length of body, first segment longer than 2 times length of head; rostrum not reaching to midcoxae. Thorax: anterior and posterior margin of pronotum rounded; mesal length of scutellum longer than width; lateral margin of hemelytra rounded; legs generally long; femur distinctly thick; first tarsal segment as long as third segment. Abdomen: margin rounded, not reaching to apex of membrane. GENITALIA: lateral margin of genital capsule straight, apex with setae in dorsal view, relatively thick ( Figure 2D View FIGURE 2 ); median process of genital capsule long, exceeding dorsal wall of capsule, bifurcated in lateral view ( Figure 2J View FIGURE 2 ), process broadly developed, heart-shaped ( Figure 3D View FIGURE 3 ); paramere straight, curved subapically ( Figure 4D View FIGURE 4 ).
Female: Body oval and elongated, length 13.21–14.18. COLOR: as in male. SURFACE AND VESTITURE: as in male. STRUCTURE: as in male except for genital segment. GENITALIA: lateral seventh abdominal segment rounded, but not prominent, central seventh abdominal segment concave and flat; gonocoxites 8 large and not touching at apex, reaching a bit less than the center of laterotergite 9; laterotergites 8 distinctly elongated and ovoid, much longer than gonocoxite 8, reaching the same point with laterotergite 9; laterotergites 9 elongated, distinctly prominent at center, in contact at base and apex, but not touching at center ( Figure 5D View FIGURE 5 ); spermatheca coiled, robust and widened at sclerotized apices ( Figure 5I View FIGURE 5 ).
