Kamimuria hainana View in CoL sp. nov.

( Figs. 1–10 View FIGURES 1 – 6 View FIGURES 7 – 10 )

Male. Forewing length 16.8 mm, hindwing length 14.6 mm. General color yellow brown. Head yellow brown with a dark brown sub-square area covering ocellar triangle, slightly wider than pronotum; compound eyes dark; antennae brown. Pronotum yellow brown with darker median strip and scattered dark rugosites ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 6 ); wing membrane pale brown, veins brown; legs mostly yellowish brown with basal half of femora paler ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 6 ).

Terminalia . Hemiterga of tergum 10 are long and extend to posterior margin of tergum 9; basal half parallelsided and apical half narrowed to the up-curved tip ( Figs. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 6 , 7–8 View FIGURES 7 – 10 ). Terga 8–9 with a large mesal field of sensilla basiconica; patch on tergum 8 consists of tiny and scattered sensilla on posterior portion; patch of tergum 9 extends from posterior lower lobe of dense sensilla to anterior margin with sparse small sensilla. Aedeagus ( Figs. 2–4 View FIGURES 1 – 6 , 9–10 View FIGURES 7 – 10 ) membranous, apex with a lower lobe and upper lobe that is slightly expanded upward to form a projection in lateral view; basal spinule patch is split by a funnel-shaped area on dorsal surface and ends subapically ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 6 ); median spines form a triangular patch on the lower lobe and the largest spines (ca. 20) present along the lateral margin of the upper lobe; spines of two lobes form a heart-like ring in ventral view. ( Figs. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 6 & 9 View FIGURES 7 – 10 ).

Female. Unknown.

Type material. Holotype: male, China: Hainan Island, Hainan Province, Baisha County, Linggeling, Hongmao Village near the large waterfall on an unnamed tributary of Nandu River, 19.0914 N, 109. 5322 E, 2011. XI.29, Weihai Li.

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the island from which the new species was collected.

Distribution. China (Hainan Island).

Remarks. The interesting large spines on aedeagal armature were recently found in several members in the genus, although species with simple aedeagal armature bearing small spine patches are prevalent in Kamimuria (Stark & Sivec 2008) . In well documented species, K. zwicki Stark & Sivec from Korea and K. lyubaretzi Teslenko from the Russian Far East both have several (ca. 7) large spines near the paired extraordinary large sclerites or spines; in addition, both species have relatively short and straight hemiterga of tergum 10 whereas the new species has long and curved hemiterga ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 6 of Stark & Sivec 2008; Figs. 4–5 View FIGURES 1 – 6 in Teslenko 2006). The new species also shares similar aedeagal armature consisting of patches of small and large spines with K. similis Klapálek from Lao Cai of Vietnam. But the male aedeagal sac of the new species has apical spines of the two lobes forming a heartlike ring in ventral view and lacks an apical pair of large spine-like sclerites as in K. similis . In addition, the hemiterga of the new species is gradually narrowed to tip but widens beyond midlength and is abruptly narrowed to tip in K. similis (Figs. 48–50 in Stark & Sivec 2008).
