Holotype: ZMB A 48.09/1 , male, adult, skull / skeleton ZMB 31619 / ZMB 31618 skin; “ 80km NW von Boko am westlichen Ufer des Tanganjika ” [80 km northwest from Mboko at Tanganyika Lake ], according to Liburnau (1917) in the mountain forests of the Wabembe country [= Babembe or Bembe people, Sud Kivu Province], Democratic Republic of the Congo; collected by Grauer, Summer 1908 .
