Current valid name: Chlorocebus pygerythrus centralis ( Neumann, 1900)

Lectotype: ZMB 35502 , male, adult, skull, skin; Bukoba [ Victoria Lake , Tanzania]; collected by O. Neumann, June 1894.

Paralectotype: ZMB 88787 , skin, Ssesse-Insel [Ssese Islands, Victoria Lake , Tanzania]; collected by O. Neumann, June 1894.

Comment: Neumann´s description of Cercopithecus centralis is based on two specimens, and he did not designate a holotype. Schwarz (1926, p. 31) listed ZMB 35502 as “Typus”, thereby designating it the lectotype.
