Holotype: ZMB 5546 , male, adult, skull, skin (= A11a,08,378, skin not located); Peters: “Das einzige Exemplar, ein ausgewachsenes Männchen, wurde in Mitole, an der Mündung des Osi und Tana-Flusses, am 16 November erlegt;“ [The only specimen, an adult male, was shot in Mitole [at the Tana River , Kenya, see fig. 1], at the estuary of the Osi and Tana Rivers ] on November 16th] collected by Fischer, 16 November 1878.
