Distribution: Gordon (1985) cited this species for Texas, in the United States of America; the material here examined expands the distribution to Arizona and Florida. For Mexico, Gorham (1894) cited the species only from Veracruz, but the material examined shows its presence in ten more states.
Hosts: According the examined material this species has been collected on Serenoa repens (Bartram) Small and Quercus sp. Some material deposited in the United States National Museum of Natural History indicates that the species has been collected on Condalia obtusifolia (Hook. ex. Torr. & A. Gray) Weberb. and Solanum elaeagnifolium Cav.
