Parco Naturale delle Alpi Marittime: AB, FRA sparse, FAG, PAL, PRATO numerous to very numerous; one of the most numerous species in the area.
General distribution: Northern Italy; Italian, Swiss, Austrian Alps, southern France; Holarctic, Oriental, New Zealand.
Habitat preferences: euryoecious, primarily silvicolous.
