General distribution: Northwest Italy ( Subías & Arillo 2001), Iberian Peninsula, Southeast Europe, Caucasus; Mediterranean.
Habitat preferences: silvicolous; mesohygrophilous.
Remarks: Body length 240–270 µm. This species is frequently cited as Medioppia vera . The generic name Medioppia Subías & Minguez, 1985 is considered as synonym of Oppiella (Rhinoppia) according to Weigmann (2006).
