Diagnosis. This new species can be distinguished from other species of the cornigera - group by the juxta with lateral arms S-shaped distally and exceeding base of the uncus apically. In other species of the group, the lateral arms of the juxta are not curved and do not reach the uncus.
Description. Adult ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1‒6 ). Wingspan 10.0‒ 11.5 mm. Head ocher-yellow. Labial palpus whitish yellow, third segment black distally except whitish yellow at apex. Antenna black, flagellum annulated with whitish yellow on dorsal surface. Thorax earth-yellow; tegula yellowish brown. Forewing pale ochreous yellow; costal area greyish black along basal 2/3, forming a dark costal band; costal margin with a diffused black spot beyond basal 2/3; dorsum with scattered black scales, with fine white streak from basal 2/5 and distal 1/4 crossing fold respectively, dark ochreous brown between two white streaks, forming a dark rectangular spot; tornal and apical spots formed by diffused black scales; cilia orange yellow along distal part of costal margin, yellow from apex through termen to end of fold. Hindwing and cilia grey.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 7‒12 ). Uncus broad at base, narrowed to about basal 2/5, thereafter slightly narrowed to apex, with sparse setae laterally. Gnathos shorter than uncus, broad lingulate, slightly widened before rounded apex. Valva with basal 4/5 parallel, distal 1/5 narrowed to rounded apex; costa slightly concave at base, convex at basal 3/5, with a densely setose, overlapped sub-triangular area between distal 2/5 and apex not reaching sacculus. Sacculus with basal 2/3 smooth and uniformly narrow; distal 1/3 setose, produced to hooked apex directing upward. Juxta narrowly connected at base, produced anteromedially; lateral arm slender, curved in S shape distally, apically acute and exceeding base of uncus. Aedeagus longer than valva, slightly inflated basally and distally, median part uniformly narrow; with a spine-shaped cornutus in vesica, approximately 1/6 length of aedeagus.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 13‒15 ). Apophyses anteriores about half length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth sternum sub-rectangular, wider than long. Lamella postvaginalis semicircular, rounded and setose on posterior margin. Ductus bursae with basal 3/5 uniform except wider at base, distal 2/5 wider; with short lateral sclerite posterior to ductus seminalis; ductus seminalis from anterior 2/5. Corpus bursae elongate ovate; signa paired, small, rectangular, with several denticles, edged with large teeth.
Distribution. China (Yunnan).
Etymology. The specific epithet of this new species is from the type locality, Malipo County, Wenshan.
