Atractides (s. str.) glandulosus ( Walter, 1918)
(Figs 30 A-B; 32 U)
Material examined: Calabria: I 102, 1/0/0 slide; I 103, 14/13/0 (2/2/0 slide); I 105, 10/12/7 (2/3/0 slide); I 106, 0/1/0 slide, I 107, 7/3/0 (1/1/0 slide); I 1129, 2/5/0 slide; Liguria: I 1216, 0/1/0 slide; I 1217, 1/0/0 slide. 8 sites, 77 specimens .
Remarks: The specimens from Calabria are in good agreement with the redescription given by Smit et al. (2015) based on a population from S Germany, except for the arrangement of Ac on female genital plates (not always in a triangle as in the German population). Females with Ac in a weakly curved line resemble A. gibberipalpis , a species differing in glandularia minor in size and I-L-6 more swollen in basal part.
Habitat: Higher order streams of premontane hill slopes, sea level to 500 m; in surface benthos. South Italian populations probably threatened by increasing tendency to drought of higher order stream sectors.
Distribution: Central Europe, Southern France. First records from Italy.
