Diagnosis. Forewing length is 9.5–10 mm in males (10 mm in the holotype) and 10.5–11 mm in females. Barsine eos sp. n. is a closest relative of B. multistriata , but differs from it by the smaller size and less elongated forewing. The new species is also similar externally to B. terminifusca , but can be easily distinguished from it by its more thin pattern elements (those are more broad and diffuse in B. terminifusca ), less wavy medial line, the absence of blackish shades outside the postmedial line, and longitudinal strokes on veins in the subterminal area of forewing being in and stretched along the whole subterminal area (those are shorter, more diffuse and situated only in the medial part of the subterminal area in B. terminifusca ). In the male genitalia, B. eos sp. n. differs from B. multistriata by its valva being slightly broader medially, more robust medial costal process, ventral subbasal diverticulum being elongated (that is globular in B. multistriata ), and broader dorsal subbasal diverticulum. In comparison to those of B. terminifusca , the male genitalia of B. eos sp. n. have the valva being broader medially, the vinculum being more robust (that is narrower and more weakly sclerotized in B. terminifusca ), the broader ventral subbasal diverticulum, and the slightly broader dorsal subbasal diverticulum. The female genitalia of B. eos sp. n. differs from those of B. multistriata by the stronger spinulose scobination of corpus bursae and appendix bursae, and from those of B. terminifusca by the antrum being slightly broader and more heavily sclerotized.

Distribution. North Thailand (Chiang Mai and Nan) ( Černý & Pinratana 2009, as multistriata ).

Etymology. In Greek mythology, Eos is a Titaness and the goddess of the dawn.
