Distribution in Iran. Fars ( Lashkari Bod et al. 2010, 2011; Fischer et al. 2011; Khajeh et al. 2014, Kermanshah ( Hazini et al. 2015).

Distribution outside Iran. Bulgaria, China, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Spain ( Yu et al. 2012), Germany ( Griffiths 1967, 1968), Spain ( Docavo and Tormos 1988; Docavo et al. 1992), United Kingdom ( Broad et al. 2012; Yu et al. 2012).

Host records. Liriomyza bryoniae (Kaltenbach, 1858) , L. huidobrensis (Blanchard, 1926) and Phytomyza sp. ( Diptera : Agromyzidae ) ( Yu et al. 2012). It has been reared from the larva of Liryomyza bryoniae on Verbena stricta Ven t. and from Anthyllis lotoides L. in Germany ( Griffiths 1968). This species has also been recorded from Liriomyza bryoniae on Cucumis melo L. in Spain ( Docavo et al. 1992; Docavo and Tormos 1988) and from Western Europe to China (Fischer et al. 2011). In Iran was recorded from wheat field by Lashkari Bod et al. (2011). In Germany this species has been reared from Phytomyza sp. near ranunculi Schrank ( Griffiths 1967) . Recently, Hazini et al. (2015) recorded this species from Chromatomyia horticola ( Goureau, 1851) .
