Distribution in Iran. East of Iran (no locality cited) (Yari et al. 2014).

Distribution outside Iran. Denmark and Poland ( Griffiths 1968; Yu et al. 2012), Hungary ( Yu et al. 2012), Ireland ( Nixon 1949 as Gyrocampa nigriscaposa ; Nixon 1949 as Gyrocampa propodealis ; Broad et al. 2012; Yu et al. 2012), Spain ( Docavo et al. 1992; Yu et al. 2012).

Host records. Cerodontha (Icteromyza) geniculata (Fallen, 1823) on Eriophorum latifolium Hoppe , C. (Poemyza) calosoma (Hendel, 1931) (Dipterera: Agromyzidae ) ( Griffiths 1968; Yu et al. 2012).
