Distribution in Iran. Sistan and Baluchistan ( Sedighi et al. 2014; Khajeh et al. 2014), East of Iran (no locality cited) (Yari et al. 2014).
Distribution outside Iran. Widely distributed and fairly frequent in the Western Palaearctic region (Papp 2011–2012, 2013). Armenia, Azerbaijan and Israel (Papp 2011–2012), Ireland ( Broad et al. 2012), Korea (Papp 2007, 2013), Madeira Islands (van Achterberg and Aguiar 2009), Russia (Tobias 1998; Lelej 2012), Serbia ( Žikić et al. 2000), Spain ( Pascual 2010), Turkey ( Telenga 1935 as Rhizarcha cubocephalus ; Beyarslan and Inanç 2001 as C. cyclops ; Papp 2011–2012), UK ( Nixon 1937 as Dacnusa cyclops ), Ukraine ( Perechayenko 2008).
Host records. In Spain and Russia, this species was reared from a pupa of Oscinella (Oscinella) pusilla (Meigen, 1830) ( Diptera : Chloropidae ) ( Lelej 2012).
