Trogoderma pectinicornis Reitter [sp. 4]

The larvae, pupae, and adults were described by Frers (1918) from a colony found “entre aserrín, ramitas y hojas secas y otros residuos que se acumulan en las grandes rajaduras que se ven con frecuencia en los troncos de los sauces.” A single adult (Buenos Aires: Otamendi, 6-XII-1997, Di Iorio leg.) was taken on the inflorescence of Eryngium sp. [ Apiaceae ]. At Campo de Mayo the species was also found under portions of the ritidome of Eucalyptus camaldulensis ( Table 3 View TABLE 3 ). In the nests of A. annumbi it was scarce: one adult found in 1992, one larva reared to adult, emerged 23-X-05; and another larva reared to adult, emergence date not recorded ( Table 2).
