Type species: Sundaxena timorensis Legalov , sp. nov.
Diagnosis. Body yellowish; rostrum equal in length to pronotum, with adpressed setae ventrally; antennae reaching middle of pronotum; eyes coarsely faceted; head behind eyes with stark constriction; temples short; pronotum campanifor with weak teeth on sides, densely punctate; elytra with indistinct carinae and weak striae, densely punctate; apex of elytra without tooth; ventrites free; second ventrite 0.5 times as long as first ventrite; femora lacking teeth; tibiae straight.
Etymology. From Sunda islands and the generic name “ Metrioxena ”.
Comparison. The new genus differs from the genus Sumatraxena gen. nov. in the coarsely faceted eyes, the rostrum with adpressed setae ventrally, straight metatibiae in males, antennae reaching middle of the pronotum and the head behind eyes with stark constriction.
