Methoca violaceipennis Cameron, 1899: 68 (unjustified emendation of Methocha ) (♂, India: Meghalaya ( Repository ?)).
Diagnosis. Male. Body length 12 mm; frons coarsely punctured, middle of lower half with a wide furrow with oblique sides; clypeus roundly incised at apex; wings fusco-violaceous; basal metasomal segments slightly and apical segments strongly punctured, segments strongly constricted at base.
Female. Unknown.
Distribution. India: Meghalaya ( Cameron 1899).
