Material examined. 1 subadult female ( MGAB CUM, 1752), Weinberg , La Parguera, Puerto Rico, Caribbean Sea, 17°53.429' N, 66°59.320' W, extracted from macroalgae, 58 m, June 3, 2008, collected by Nikolaos V. Schizas. GoogleMaps

Diagnosis. Carapace with 5 dorsal denticles, uropodal peduncle 0.84 times pleonite 6 length, uropodal peduncle with 4 medial setae, endopod with 2 medial ones.

Remarks. This species was originally described from St. Ann Parish, Discovery Bay, Jamaica, 2–8 m depth ( Petrescu et al., 1994). The present record is the first report of this species from the mesophotic reefs of Puerto Rico (58 m depth).

Distribution. Jamaica ( Petrescu et al., 1994), Puerto Rico (present report). Depth range: 2– 58 m.
