Genus Hydryphantes Koch, 1841 View in CoL

Characterictics. Larva. Anterior part of dorsum with a relatively large plate provided with a pair of simple setae (Vi) and pair of trichobothria (Oi), and paired small platelets each bearing the simple seta Fch and the trichobothrium Fp. Trichobothria Fp are very long, thin and usually well extending beyond posterior margin of plate, Oi very short and thin. Lateral eye lenses on each side separate and located in soft integument. Coxal plates I to III small, separate, and with three pairs of coxal setae (C3 on coxal plate II absent). Chelicerae separate and very stout, chela short and edentate. Pedipalp five-segmented, P–4 with large dorsodistal bifurcate claw. Legs I to III six-segmented and each with three claws, the lateral ones extremely thin. Number of setae on legs I–III (specialized setae given in parentheses): I–Leg-1–6: 1, 2, 5, 6 (s, e), 13 (2 s, e), 22 (s, e, ac); II–Leg-1–6: 1, 2, 5, 6 (s, e), 12 (2 s), 22 (s, e, ac); III–Leg-1–6: 1, 2, 5, 5(s), 11 (s), 20. Acanthoid setae are present only on tarsus I and II. All simple setae usually strong and pectinate, specialilized setae thin and smooth.
