Distribution in Iran: Kerman, Kermanshah (Ebrahimi 2014), Khuzestan ( Sakenin et al. 2010), Sistan-o Baluchestan, South Khorasan ( Gussakovskij 1933; de Beaumont 1970).

General distribution: Algeria, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cyprus, Egypt, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Madagascar, Mauritania, Mauritius, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Zaire.

Remarks: This species was recorded as Sphex crudelis by de Beaumont (1970) and as Sphex aegyptius Lepeletier de Saint Fargeau, 1845 by Gussakovskij (1933) from Bampur and Bazman (Kerman province— Gussakovskij 1933), which are parts of Sistan-o Baluchestan province.
