Distribution in Iran: Alborz, Ardabil (de Beaumont 1957), Golestan ( Dollfuss 2013b), Khorasan ( Ebrahimi 1993, 2014), Mazandaran (de Beaumont 1957).
General distribution: Algeria, Armenia, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia. Romania, Russia, Syria, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
Remarks: This species was first recorded as Podalonia morawitzi Ed. Andre, 1886 by Ebrahimi (1993, 2014).
