Genitalia ♂ ( Fig 88). Uncus constricted at base, widening towards distal third, then broadly tapered towards blunt apex; basal two-thirds laterally set densely with long setae; gnathos hook long, thin; tegumen narrow, evenly tapered to base of uncus, anterior margin with small round emargination; valva broad at base, distally downturned, pointed, at distal third with strongly recurved, sharply pointed branch; saccus short, blunt; phallus straight, base with long spoon-shaped caecum.

Genitalia ♀ ( Figs 118, 150). Papillae anales unremarkable, apophyses posteriores about twice length of apophyses anteriores. Ostium bursae broad, antrum large, ventral edge distinctly sclerotized, medially membranous; corpus bursae without signum.

Remarks. N. dentata was described from 16 specimens, both sexes, from four localities in New South Wales: Sydney, Blackheath, 3500 ft, Mittagong, Bathurst and one in Victoria: Melbourne; all specimens were collected in March. Nine of the syntypes are in BMNH. The genus Sarotorna Meyrick, 1904 , which in the Australian checklist is placed in Gelechiinae ( Edwards 1996: 112) is here transferred to Pexicopiinae .

Biology. Host-plant unknown.

Distribution. Australia (New South Wales, Victoria).
