Mesophleps sublutiana ( Park, 1990) View in CoL ; Li & Zheng, 1995: 28, figs 2–4.

♂, ♀. Wingspan 10.0–16.0 mm. Labial palpus variable; segment 2 evenly thin to distally wider than at base, black with white distal ring; 3 slightly shorter than 2, white, sometimes base with black scales, sub-apically with variable amount of black scaling, rarely distal one-third black but extreme apex always white. Antenna alternating white and brown. Forewing yellowish to ochreous brown, distal three-fifths of costa black, interrupted by faint oblique line running from four-fifths towards termen, sometimes posterior margin darker; black discal, discocellular and plical spots variably developed, often discal and sometimes also plical small, indistinct or absent; termen with two to three small black spots near apex.

Genitalia ♂ ( Fig. 62). Uncus sub-rectangular, basal half slightly constricted, caudal margin truncate to very slightly concave; gnathos hooks slender, gently curved, about two-thirds to four-fifths length of uncus; valva narrow, widest at two-thirds; tegumen relatively narrow and long; broad downturned distal part of vinculum about one-third its total length, anterior margin almost straight, posterior margin deeply notched medially; phallus with basal two-thirds bulbous, almost spherical, distal one-third abruptly narrowed.

Genitalia ♀ ( Figs 91, 121). Dorso-posterior margin of segment VIII straight, medially not convex; apophyses anteriores about one-half length of apophyses posteriores; ostium bursae near posterior margin of VIII, subostial plate more or less trapezoid, caudal margin weakly to distinctly concave at ostium bursae, anterior margin slightly convex, plate with less strongly sclerotized oval ‘window’; sclerotized antrum shorter than subostial plate, sometimes indistinct; ductus bursae thin, less than twice length of apophyses posteriores, entering corpus bursae postero-laterally; corpus bursae drop-shaped to pyriform, less than twice length of apophyses posteriores; ductus seminalis thin, from cervix bursae.

Remarks. The locality of the holotype is incomplete in the original description but according to the author is Suwon (Park, pers. comm.). For differences to ioloncha see there.
