Types. Holotype and paratype females from Cueva del Círculo, Sierra de Cubitas (21°43’59”N, 77°46’14”W), Camagüey, Cuba, 14.VI.1984, L. F. Armas, J. de la Cruz & J. L. Gonzáles col., deposited in MNHNCu and IBSP 166718, respectively.

Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.

Diagnosis. Antilloides cubitas n. sp. is easily distinguished from other species by the oval seminal receptacles and coiled necks of the spermathecae ( Figs 13C View FIGURE 13 A ‒ C , 20C View FIGURE 20 A ‒ G. A ‒ C ).

Description. Male. Unknown. Female (Holotype). Carapace yellow brown, cephalic area black, with longitudinal black band behind the eyes. Chelicerae orange. Endites, labium and sternum orange-brown. Palps brown, with femora yellowish. Legs brownish with transverse longitudinal black stripes, mainly on legs II–IV. Abdomen dorsally and laterally brown, ventrally brownish, with 6–7 dorsal black chevrons ( Fig. 13A‒B View FIGURE 13 A ‒ C ). Total length 4.3. Carapace length 1.9, width 1.2. PME separated by their diameter. Palp measurements: femur 1.1 long, patella 0.5 long. Leg measurements: I femur 2.4/ patella 0.6/ tibia 2.9/ metatarsus 2.3/ tarsus 1.3/ total 9.5; II 2.0/ 0.5/ 1.8/ 1.3/ 0.7/ 6.3; III 1.6/ 0.5/ 1.0/ 1.2/ 0.8/ 5.1; IV 2.1/ 0.6/ 1.6/ 1.6/ 0.9/ 6.8. Abdomen 2.4 long. Internal genitalia with the uterus externus at the same height as the spermathecae ( Figs 13C View FIGURE 13 A ‒ C , 20D View FIGURE 20 A ‒ G. A ‒ C ).

Natural history. All specimens were collected on the walls of a cave near the entrance. Distribution. Known only from Camagüey, Cuba ( Fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 A).
