REMARKS
Jean Dybowski collected seeds in French Congo, and communicated these to De Wildemann to Herb. Brux. ( Baker & Simmonds 1954). This banana was described by fairly few characteristics: the seeded fruits are inedible, leaves are more ridged and acuminate when compared with Musa ensete , and the plant is colourless when compared with M. livingstoniana . The unique feature is its bulbous base. The seeds show that this is a synonym of E. gilletii ( Baker & Simmonds 1954) .
