Diagnosis. The species is similar in particular to D. lukjanovitshi in respect of style ( Figs 26F, G ) and aedeagus ( Figs 26A–C ) morphology. From the latter species it is distinguished by the less slender aedeagus and the female pregenital sternite ( Figs 20F, G ), which displays a small notch on its hind margin. It resembles in its aedeagus also D. stylata , but lacks its basal shield, and displays rather evenly curved styles. The connective ( Fig. 2H ) is short, its basal and its branched portion have approximately the same length.

Distribution ( Fig. 59 ). D. gravis Emeljanov was described from Korea and Russia (Maritime Territory). We studied material from North Korea, Mongolia, and Russia (Maritime Territory). In addition, there are records from China: Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia ( Duan & Zhang, 2012) and Russia: Transbaikal ( Anufriev & Emeljanov, 1988). The species is not recorded for European Russia.

Remarks. Specimens from Mongolia are on average more slender and smaller than specimens from the Maritime Territory. Material from Mongolia was described and measured in detail by Dworakowska in her description of D. dahurica , only one year after Emeljanov’s description of D. gravis , and in the same year when Dlabola described D. jurtica . Unfortunately, in the type series of D. jurtica specimens of other Doratura taxa are also included.
