Type material. Holotype: male ( RMNH), Swampy lowland rainforest of Bako National Park [1°43'00.00ʺN, 110°28'00.00ʺE], Sarawak Province, Malaysian Borneo, 29 March 1985, P.R. & C.L. Deeleman-Reinhold leg. Paratypes: 1 male, 1 female, same data as holotype.
Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality; adjective.
Diagnosis. This new species is similar to T. fabata sp. nov., but male can be distinguished by the distinct shape of embolus ( Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 A–C, 13A–B, 14C), and female by the plate-shaped genitalia ( Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 D, 15A–B).
Description. Male (holotype). Total length 0.90. Prosoma 0.35 long, 0.35 wide. Opisthosoma 0.50 long, 0.36 wide. Sternum 0.20 long, 0.20 wide. Prosoma yellowish. Legs, labium, and endites, whitish. Six eyes. Chelicerae ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 F) longer than endites, yellowish, with two teeth and three denticles on the promargin, and two small teeth on the retromargin. Palp and leg measurements: palp 0.56 (0.15, 0.05, 0.11, –, 0.25); I 1.99 (0.60, 0.08, 0.55, 0.42, 0.34); II 1.69 (0.50, 0.08, 0.46, 0.35, 0.30); III 1.23 (0.36, 0.06, 0.32, 0.25, 0.24); IV 1.80 (0.52, 0.08, 0.48, 0.40, 0.32). Leg formula: I-IV-II-III. Male palp ( Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 A–C, 13A–B, 14C): bulb whitish, globular; embolus tip curved, approximately 0.3 the length of bulb. Opisthosoma oval, whitish, covered with long setae.
Female (paratype). Similar to male in coloration and general features, but with a larger body size and shorter legs. Total length 0.98. Prosoma 0.37 long, 0.36 wide. Opisthosoma 0.52 long, 0.44 wide. Sternum 0.22 long, 0.23 wide. Palp and leg measurements: palp 0.44 (0.15, 0.05, 0.07, –, 0.17); I 1.85 (0.55, 0.08, 0.51, 0.40, 0.31); II 1.58 (0.50, 0.08, 0.44, 0.30, 0.28); III 1.71 (0.37, 0.06, 0.30, 0.25, 0.22); IV 1.68 (0.52, 0.08, 0.46, 0.32, 0.30). Leg formula: I-IV-II-III. Genitalia ( Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 D, 15A–B) plate-shaped in dorsal view.
Variation. Total length: males: 0.90–0.94 (n = 2).
Distribution. Malaysian Borneo ( Sarawak Province) ( Fig. 16 View FIGURE 16 ).
