Distribution. Brazil: Amazonas.
Remarks. This new species differs from A. nigripes Evans, 1966 by having the head distinctly wider than long; the mandible wide apically and angulate; the clypeus with apical margin truncate and rounded; the antennal scrobe ecarinate; the frons with a short frontal line; and the pronotal disc with a single median fovea, whereas A. nigripes has the head wide; the mandible narrow, slightly angled, and with the lower tooth longer than others; the clypeus rounded, short, and with an apical median tooth; the antennal scrobe carinate; the frons without a short frontal line; and the pronotal disc without a fovea.
