Description, female. Body length 5.23 mm. Head and mesosoma black; wings subhyaline; metasoma castaneous. Head wide. Mandible with five distal teeth, wide, angled, and with lower tooth longer than others. Median clypeal lobe rounded, short; median clypeal carina hardly distinct from clypeus. Frons coriaceous ; antennal scrobe ecarinate. Eye large. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute; ocelli small. Vertex convex. Pronotal disc as long as wide, sparsely punctate; transverse pronotal carina complete; posterior margin without posterior pronotal sulcus. Notaulus very narrow. Mesoscutellar disc with mesoscutellar sulcus narrow; posterior mesoscutellar sulcus present. Metapectal-propodeal disc short; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges present; metapostnotal-propodeal suture fused with first metapostnotal carina; paraspiracular carina present and inconspicuous; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc polished; propodeal declivity strigate. Mesopleuron with anterior fovea closed; mesopleural fovea closed; lower fovea closed; posterior fovea absent; mesopleural suture closed. Forewing with stigma developed; Rs&M vein distinguished. Mesotibia not spinose; claws bifid. Metasomal segments sparsely setose. Genitalia. T9 with anterior arm long and overlapping 2vf; 1vv longer than genitalia body; 2vv as long as 1vv length, abruptly narrowing apicad; 3vv short; 1vf slightly curved forward; 2vf slender and with dorsal lap strongly swollen posteriorly; 1rv not curved, ventral process large, and posterior process short; 2rv not curved.

Material examined. Holotype, ♀, BRAZIL, Maranhão, 20.ix.1984, [armadilha] Möricke ( UFES 10164 View Materials ).

Distribution. Brazil: Maranhão.

Remarks. This new species differs from A. guianae by having the body black; the wings subhyaline; the clypeus rounded, and with the median clypeal carina hardly distinct from clypeus; the anterior margin of the frons not projected; the antennal scrobe ecarinate; the transverse pronotal carina complete; the posterior mesoscutellar sulcus present; the metapostnotal-propodeal suture fused with the first metapostnotal carina; the mesopleuron with the lower fovea and mesopleural suture closed; and the genitalia with 1rv ventral process large, whereas A. guianae has the mesosoma with green reflection and the propodeum black; the wings bi-banded; the clypeus angulate with median the clypeal carina distinct from the clypeus; the antennal scrobe carinate, but weak; the transverse pronotal carina absent; the posterior mesoscutellar sulcus absent; the metapostnotal-propodeal suture straight; the mesopleuron with the lower fovea and mesopleural suture opened; and the genitalia with 1rv ventral process small.
