Pestalotiopsis View in CoL View at ENA
MP, ML and BYPP analyses produced nearly identical topologies. One hundred and seventeen strains are included in the analyses, which comprised 1,593 characters including gaps. The tree was rooted with Neopestalotiopsis cubana (CBS 600.96) and N. saprophytica (MFLUCC 12–0282). The maximum parsimonious dataset consisted of 941 constant, 469 parsimony-informative and 183 parsimony-uninformative characters. The parsimony analysis of the data matrix resulted in the maximum of ten equally most parsimonious trees with a length of 2,109 steps (CI = 0.485, RI = 0.754, RC = 0.365, HI = 0.515) in the third tree. The best scoring RAxML tree with a final likelihood value of -13377.350555 is presented. The matrix had 798 distinct alignment patterns, with 15.29% of undetermined characters or gaps. Estimated base frequencies were as follows; A = 0.234024, C = 0.294024, G = 0.211203, T = 0.260749; substitution rates AC = 1.127092, AG = 3.362419, AT = 1.112159, CG = 1.018959, CT = 4.240455, GT = 1.000000; gamma distribution shape parameter α = 0.296347. Our isolate with a high bootstrap support, clustered with four strains of Pestalotiopsis sp. , E7202, E7203, E7204 and E7206, which were invalidly published. Therefore, the new lineage is introduced here as a new species, Pestalotiopsis hydei .
