Type locality. Bibianaha , Ghana .
Distribution. Guinea, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria ( Gillon & Roy 1968; La Greca 1967; Ragge & Roy 1967; Roy 1963, 1964b, 1965a, 1975, 2010; Roy & Leston 1975).
Records. CSC: ♁, new station, IV.–VI.2021, E. Frank leg. (genitalia preparation Schwarz No. 559).
Remarks. A forest species known from several localities in Ivory Coast, including Lamto ( Gillon & Roy 1968; Miles 2021; Roy 1964a, 1975); not as strictly bound to closed rainforests as S. aurea Giglio-Tos, 1917 . First instar nymphs are green and do not mimic ants (pers. obs.).
