Chrysomantis girardi Gillon & Roy, 1968: 1132–1135 View in CoL , Figs. 52–55 View FIGURES 51–52 View FIGURES 53–57 .
Type locality. Lamto , Ivory Coast .
Distribution. Ivory Coast ( Gillon & Roy 1968; Roy 2013a).
Records. CSC: ♁, new station, 03.IV.–12.V.2017, M. Pohl leg.
Remarks. Only two males are known in the literature, the holotype from Lamto and a male from Bouaké ( Roy 2013b). Chrysomantis girardi is very similar to C. speciosa Giglio-Tos, 1915 from the West and Central African forest block, but contrary to the latter seems to prefer Guinea savanna. Given the scarcity of captures and the astonishing variability of C. speciosa (see Roy 2013b), it cannot be excluded that C. girardi is merely a savanna morph of the latter.
