Type species. Hemileucon levis Hale, 1945 .
Diagnosis. Female and subadult male. Pseudorostrum anteriorly directed. Antennule geniculate between peduncle article 1 and article 2. Uropod endopod uniarticulate. Adult male. Antenna extending no further than pereonite 5, peduncle article 4 with setae on anterior margin, peduncle article 5 with setae on anterior and posterior margins. Maxilliped 3 to pereopod 4 with exopod. Without pleopods. Small penial lobes may be present.
Remarks. Within the Australian leuconid fauna, this is the only genus with a uniarticulate uropod endopod. Species. Austroleucon adiazetos n. sp., A. dolosolevis n. sp., A. levis ( Hale, 1945) .
