Distribution. AUSTRALIA: Queensland; PAPUA NEW GUINEA: Milne Bay, East New Britain, West New Britain.

Host plant. Unknown.

Remarks. Agrilus terraereginae is closest to A. striatocollis but it has shorter membranous sensory zones on parameres of aedeagus ( Fig. 3J View FIGURES 3 ).

The subspecies deerratus was proposed for specimens from the New Britain Island of Papua New Guinea based on “ less brilliant integument, more bronze dorsally, elytral apex prolonged-pointed and more thickened pubescence at the sternal sides ”. These characters are variable in the whole vittatus species-group and there is no difference in the shape of aedeagus between specimens of Papua New Guinea and Australia. Therefore, the specific name deerratus is considered the junior subjective synonym of the specific name terraereginae .
