Report associated with sponges: This species was reported from Western Australia, Duke of Orleans Bay , 10-15 cm below water line among sponges with rich endofauna and epiflora ( Bartsch 2005) .

Remarks: This species was reported among algae Caulerpa sp. (Chlorophyceae) , Amphiroa sp. (Florideophyceae) and Corallinaceae from Rottnest Island, Australia ( Bartsch 1993d).
