Notes. The previous distributional record in Hulunbuir of this species was referred to Nysius thymi thymi . Nysius ericae groenlandicus was reported from Inner Mongolia (Hohhot City, Chifeng City, Chifeng City, Baotou City, Tongliao City) according to the first segment of rostrum exceeding end of buccula (Nonnaizab, 1988). We have examined all these specimens and found the characters of parameres, pygophore, spermatheca and ejaculatory reservoir consistent with Nysius ericae ericae . Nysius ericae groenlandicus known previously from Inner Mongolia is referred to Nysius ericae ericae . The morphology of buccula of this species has intraspecific variation. The distal end sharp ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 6–9 ) or somewhat blunt ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 6–9 ), reaching the base of head ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 6–9 ) or not ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 6–9 ), the first segment of the rostrum equal to buccula ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 6–9 ) or longer than buccula ( Fig.7 View FIGURES 6–9 ). These specimens parameres, pygophore, spermatheca and ejaculatory reservoir are all the same.
