Subfamily Eubrianacinae

The larvae of this subfamily have gills that are palmate and exposed on the abdominal sterna ( Fig. 11 View Figs ). These larvae typically occur in gravel in streams. Mature larvae are often the largest psephenid larvae found in Thailand. Identification of larvae involves characters on the dorsum. We collected four genera and one undescribed larva from this subfamily ( Figs. 25–30 View Figs , Maps A–B). Adults are often collected by sweeping streamside vegetation.
