Distribution. Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and Surinam ( Thomas 1992; Grazia et al. 2015).
Examined material. 26.IX.2017 (4 ♂, 4 ♀)
Comments. According to Thomas (1992), P. nigrispinus can be recognized by the dark bifid humeral angles contrasting with the pale and rugulose anterolateral margins of pronotum This species is widespread ( Grazia et al. 1985) and show potential in controlling populations of phytophagous insects ( Grazia et al. 2015).
