Diagnosis. The species can be distinguished from the related species of the genus by the dark fuscous antenna. The male genitalia also have good separable characteristics with extremely long, lanceolate, sword-shaped median lobe of the juxta. The female is as yet unknown.
Adult ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 2 – 15 , non-type in USNM). Wingspan, 10.0–12.0 mm.

Material examined. 1♂ (holotype), Kan Dist. Peradeniya, Upper Hantane Hill 2,300 ft, 12–16 I 1970, gen. prep. no. USNM-88982; 2♂ (paratypes), Udawattakele 2,100 ft, 5 X 1976, gen. prep. no. USNM-88961; 5♂, Kandy, Udawattekelle, 25–26 X 1966 & 31 X 1966; 8♂, same locality, 10, 13 & 16 XI 1966, gen. prep. no. CIS-5189 and CIS-5196; 1♂, Kegalla Dist., Kitulgala, 9 IX 1980, gen. prep. no. USNM-5408. All specimens are in the USNM.
