Diagnosis. The species is superficially very similar to F. sejuncta Meyrick with the concave termen of the forewing, but it can be distinguished by the male genitalia: costal bar strongly angled at middle; distal part slender without process on ventral margin; median process of juxta short, club-shaped; and the aedeagus extremely stout with a pair of long cornuti.
Adult (Fig. 16, paratype in USNM).). Wingspan, 10.0–13.0 mm.

Material examined. 4♂, Kandy, Udawattekelle, 25–26 X 1966 & 31 X 1966; 9♂, same locality, 12–6 XI 1966, gen. prep. no. CIS-5190 & 5194; 1♂ (holotype), Kan Dist., Teldeniya, 1,400 ft, 18–20 XI 1976, gen. prep. no. USNM-88828; 1 ♂ (paratype), Rat Dist., Uda Walawe 300 ft, 1 VIII 1973. All type specimens are in the USNM.
