Diagnosis. The species is similar to F. s e j u n c t a Meyrick and F. tricrosura Wu and Park , but the forewing ground color is brownish and the forewing is broader than in those two species. The male genitalia are very close to those of F. notifica Meyrick but can be easily distinguished by the median process on the ventral margin of the valva which is freely extended outwardly and more sharply pointed apically.

Antenna pale orange, dark brown dorso-distally at basal1/7; with brownish annulations throughout. Labial palpus atypical; 2nd segment bent before middle, basal portion with long scale-tufts projecting anteriorly, pale brownish orange on outer surface speckled with dark brown scales and pale brownish yellow on inner surface, terminal portion bent downward; 3rd segment minute, concealed in long scale-tufts of 2nd. Forewing elongate; ground color grayish orange, dark-brown scales irregularly scattered on upper surface; discal spot small at middle; reniform stigma below cell, connected to inner margin by brownish fascia; dark-brown scales along costa at basal 1/4; costa nearly straight; apex more or less acute; termen strongly oblique, concave, with dark-brown scales along margin; fringe with weak brownish median band. Venation with R3 and R4 +5 stalked near middle; R4 and R5 stalked beyond 4/5; R5 to termen; M2 absent; M3 almost parallel to M1; CuA1 and CuA2 stalked at basal 1/3. Hind wing pale gray; apex sharply pointed; fringe concolorous; M3 and CuA1 separated from basal 4/5.
Male genitalia ( Figs. 41, 41 View FIGURES 39 – 44 a). Gnathos rather small, strongly bent preapically. Costal bar angled at middle. Valva broad in basal part; a large, triangular process at middle of ventral margin; distal part rather slender, dilated terminally, round apex, with dense setae at middle ventrally; costa nearly straight in distal part; sacculus connected with base of median process. Aedeagus slightly shorter than valva, with a pair of short, heavily sclerotized horn-shaped cornuti: longer one shorter than 1/4 of aedeagus.
