Diodochaetus botryodes ( Atyeo and Gaud, 1987)

Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Mesembrinibis cayennensis (Gmelin) ( Pelecaniformes : Threskiornithidae ) from Brazil (Para), Bolivia (Santa Cruz) and Colombia (Dept. Antioquia, El Real, Río Nechí; Dept. Bolívar, Norosí) ( Atyeo & Gaud 1987). This mite has never been recollected since the original description.

Diodochaetus phimosi ( Atyeo and Gaud, 1987)

Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Phimosus infuscatus berlepschi Hellmayr ( Pelecaniformes : Threskiornithidae ) from Colombia (Dept. Magdalena, El Difícil) ( Atyeo & Gaud 1987). This mite has never been recollected since the original description.

Diodochaetus theristici ( Atyeo and Gaud, 1987)

Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Theristicus caudatus caudatus (Boddaert) ( Pelecaniformes : Threskiornithidae ) from Brazil (Para) and Colombia (Dept. Magdalena, Camperucho; Dept. Valle del Cauca, 15 km south Cali), with additional material ex Theristicus c. hyperorius Todd from Bolivia (Santa Cruz) and Paraguay (Boqueron) ( Atyeo & Gaud 1987). This mite has never been recollected since the original description.
